Shell Version: 0.17 Currently Emulates: NES, SNES, N64, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Sega GameGear, PlayStation 1
HarmonyBox is an old PC with a custom shell/frontend for the sole purpose of running emulators powered by Windows XP. It uses seven different emulators to emulate eleven different consoles. All available English ROMs for NES, SNES, N64, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis and Sega GameGear are currently loaded, with Sega Saturn and PlayStation 1 trickling through. It is optimized to be run on a 16:9 ratio widescreen TV. Input is through Xbox 360 controllers handled by a Microsoft wireless receiver.
Pictures to come.
I AM BROKEZORED.
HarmonyBox II
Currently in initial planning stages, HarmonyBox II (working title) was originally meant to replace HarmonyBox in eventuality. With HarmonyBox's self-brokerization, the time line needs to be changed. The new version will feature a micro ATX-based setup, with dual core processor, high-capacity SATA hard drive, high-end GeForce GPU and buckets of RAM. That is, if I can get it all to run on the diminutive power supply in the micro case.
Best of all, HarmonyBox II will feature a front end that I don't have to make, unlike the current HarmonyShell. Instead it will be running off a full version of Maximus Arcade.
